Our DI capture sets come in the following variations:
- Essential DI - For very simple one channel amps with just a tone control there will be only an Essential DI set.
- Core DI - clean, edge, crunch, dimed, drive and lead gain levels with EQ settings close to the amps sweet spot - includes BRI, BAL, WRM settings. Includes close mic'd IR's. This is where to start, if you are not sure, if you want all the tones from a particular amp.
- Expansion DI - clean, edge, crunch, dimed, drive and lead gain levels with EQ the more unusual settings (which often are spectacular sounding with particular playing styles, genres, guitars or pickups) - includes THN, FAT, SCP settings. Include's IR's with baked in room sound that are intended to be used with an external IR loader that allows long files - up to 2 seconds and that are meant to be mixed together with the close mic'd IR's from the Core DI set. The Expansion DI set is meant to be purchased as an addition to the Core DI set, not as a standalone.
There is no way around it - this is THE ultimate amp for clean and edge of breakup tones. After having played and owned a lot of the most desirable vintage and boutique amps this one is simply meant to be the best clean amp and it delivers big time.
It has an incredible mixture of traits that make it so perfect for cleaner tones - it is dynamic and extremely punchy, yet it has the right amount of compression to smooth it out just enough to not sound too strident. Takes single coils and humbuckers equally well, loads of headroom. These qualities also make it a great pedal platform amp.
It is based on the Dumble SSS version with some tweaks. Its ancestor was played by some of the biggest names in electric guitar history, including Stevie Ray Vaughan, John Mayer and Eric Johnson, just to name drop a few of the highest caliber users.
The set is more focused on the amps strengths - clean and edge of breakup gain levels as well as with various pedals in front, which it also takes beautifully and with a very disticnt sound quality.
The set includes 2 CAB in the Room IR's of a TRCK 2X12 with WGS 12-65B speakers and a 2x12 FNDR cab with EV12L's and 18 DI Captures ranging from clean to lead gain levels and featuring various EQ settings per gain level. Please refer to the full list of Tone Models in the product pictures.

As this is a digital product and there is no way to retreive the product after the sale, we issue no refunds on the captures sets, packs or bundles. We do however do our best to convey a good representation of the captures.
Receiving the Captures
During checkout form our store please enter your Cortex Cloud user ID in the corresponding field and follow us on the Cortex Cloud. Our User ID is amalgamaudio. When we follow you back, we are in the "Friend" status and the acquired captures can be shared with you.
