First time i plugged into the Lead channel, i thought that the Cobra name sounds too wimpy for what this amp delivers. It is a juggernaut of a high gain amp that effortlessly gives you big, full, balanced high gain tones that can be easily tailored to your needs with the very responsive EQ section and gain staging, etc.
The Crunch channel is nice, the Clean channel can be coaxed into usable clean, but the Lead channel is where this amp thrives. It can do massive chunky round tones and can get as bright as you want, while reaching a lot of gain without becoming fizzy or mushy.
The amp was tracked through a MES 4X12 with V30 speakers, the mics used are 2X Royer R121, 1X Beyerdynamic M160 and 1X Neumann U87.

Receiving the Captures
