There are over 10 AB763 circuit revision Black Panel amps in the amalgam collection, but no other amp has so much affinity towards a beautiful smooth Fendery overdrive as this particular 1967 Pro Reverb. It gives the least resistance in going over into overdrive land by itself or when beautifully melting together with an overdrive pedal in front.
Apart from the 2X12 speaker configuration and 4 Ohm output on the Output transformer, this amp is basically identical the the famous BF Vibroverb. So it doesn't surprize at all that this amp easily will bring you into SRV territory and just shine in any application where you would want the most classic of all Fender tones - the mid 60's Black Panel thing.
This capture set will deliver everything from shimmery Fender cleans up to beautifully overdriven tones for the solo or saturated rhythm tones.
Although the Pro Reverb is a bit of a sleeper amp, it has been used by a plethora of big names, among them, to name a few: Michael Landau, Guthrie Trapp, Dave Immergluck, Tomo Fujita and many more.
The set features 42 DI captures of the amp and 4 IR's, including the open back 2X12 of the Pro Reverb with its C12N Speakers. The mics used were 2x Royer R121, a Beyerdynamic M160 and a Neumann U87. Please refer to the full list of included captures in the product photo section.
