We’ve released a lot of Fender Blackface-era amps, but with such a legendary lineup, one question always comes up: If you could only choose one, which would it be? Among players who’ve spent serious time with nearly the entire Blackface catalog, a clear favorite often emerges — the Pro Reverb. Alongside close contenders like the Vibroverb, Deluxe Reverb, and Super Reverb, the Pro Reverb consistently hits a rare sweet spot. It isn’t as stiff as a Twin or Showman, yet it offers plenty of headroom. When it does break up, it does so beautifully — smooth, musical, and expressive. Built around the classic AB763 circuit, it delivers some of the finest clean tones of the Blackface era, while also producing some of the most rewarding overdriven sounds in the entire Fender lineup. The 2x12 CTS speaker configuration only strengthens the formula, giving the amp depth, punch, and balance. Very quickly, it becomes obvious that the “Pro” in Pro Reverb isn’t just a name — it’s earned. When players like Tom Bukovac cite the Pro Reverb as one of their all-time favorite amps, you know you’re in good company. While it covers much of the same ground as other AB763 amps, many would argue that its overdriven tones are simply unmatched within the Fender Blackface family.
The set features 30 full captures of the amp through its 2X12 CTS ceramic speakers. The mics used were 2x Royer R121, a Beyerdynamic M160 and a Neumann U87. Please refer to the full list of included captures in the product photo section.

Receiving the Captures
During checkout form our store please enter your Cortex Cloud user ID in the corresponding field and follow us on the Cortex Cloud. Our User ID is amalgamaudio. When we follow you back, we are in the "Friend" status and the acquired captures can be shared with you.
