DZ AC80 Master Built ToneX Essential

This amp's release took us by surprise, but not nearly as much as its tonal qualities. It is capable of some of the best clean and edge of breakup tones out there, but when cranked, it gives any Marshall, including a plexi Super Lead a run for it's money.

It is a very stout and big sounding amp with lots of punchy and very usable bass. It has a broad frequency response, but can be tailored to taste easily. As all the AC based amps it has lots of clarity, but it achieves this without getting harsh.

In fact it does everything really well and is etremely versatile despite just a simple one channel setup.

It can even easily go into drive territory (has about as much or even a bit more gain on tap as a plexi Super Lead all on 10) on its own and will need a pedal just to push it over into lead gain levels.

The amp it was based on the VX AC80 is a very rare beast and the one that the Beatles actually played the most, as it was the only thing that had enough headroom and power to get them the volume they needed.

Resurrected by Z on request by Brad Paisley, who has been touring the prototype for a while. The client list of this amp needs to be seen - lots of todays big player names on it.

This is one of the limited run Master Built amps - built by Z himself.

The set includes 24 AMP+CAB captures ranging from clean to lead and featuring various EQ settings. Please refer to the full list of Tone Models under the product pictures.
