Ever wondered what would happen if a Soldano SLO-100 and a Trainwreck Express had a baby? This might as well be it. This amp can indeed rival the SLO-100 in many ways, but brings its own voicing to the table, which even in the higher gain ranges sounds very musical, and natural.
The Billy Corgan Grace amp sounds bigr, mean, and absolutely furious. And trust us — this thing is VERY, very, VERY angry and can rival many brutal amps, while offering a clean-up on the volume control that barely any other amp offers.
This deceptively simple amp is extremely versatile. It can go from super-compressed, smooth lead tones to an open, raw sound that can bite your head off — largely thanks to the extremely sensitive headroom control, which transforms the character of the amp across both extremes and everything in between.
So it will not only deliver a ton of authentic Smashing Pumpkins / Billy Corgan tones, it will be a super versatile creative palette for the guitarist, who wants to explore all facets of gain from a single channel amp and who will know how to take full advantage of the exceptional clean-up by volume control.
Crunch, drive, lead, high gain — all of it is easy to dial in, with a character of your choice: darker and smoother, or bright, open, and wild. What it won’t do is pristine cleans — for that, you’ll need to roll back the volume control, which… you guessed it… works phenomenally well on this amp.
The set features 44 DI captures of the amp. 4 IR's are provided with the captures, including a 4X12 Marshall with G12H55Hz Pulsonics, Mesa 4X12 with UK made V30's and a Matchless 2X12 with G12H and G12M. The mics used were 2x Royer R121, a Beyerdynamic M160 and a Neumann U87. Please refer to the full list of included captures in the product photo section.

Receiving the Captures
After downloading the Tone Model set to your computer, the Tone Models can be imported from within ToneX:
The simplest way is to unzip the zip file and then drag&drop the TXP files into the app and it will automatically import the presets and tone models.
